Tibetan Goji Berries
Nutritionally one of the richest foods on the planet, Goji Berries from Tibet will be on retailers shelves from September onwards - selling for around 9 for a vaccum sealed 250g pack.
Containing up to 500 times more vitamin C than oranges, they are called happy berries by Tibetans, many of whom eat a handful a day. They look like a red raisin and taste like a cranberry crossed with a cherry.
Goji Berries have more beta-carotent than carrots, are rich in iron and are a good source of Vitamins B and E and antioxidants - they also contain 18 amino acids, proteins, poly saccharides and 21 trace minerals.
